Copying/Pasting your POI [Points of Interest]

You can copy an existing POI to a new one, inside the same organization, different organization, or even as a new stop in a tour. This is helpful when you may have an existing Place that you want to use as a tour stop in a tour, for example.

  • Start by going to “Org Content” in the CMS - Here you will see a list of all your current POIs:

  • Click and open the POI (do not edit the POI) you wish to copy. Click on ‘Copy’ in the upper right:

  • NOTE: currently you can only copy Places, Events or tour stops, not Tours.

  • You will get a dialog telling you the POI has been copied to the clipboard:

  • Next, go to the sub-organization/organization where you want to paste this copied POI.

  • When in that Organization, at the bottom of your POI list you will see the option to ‘Paste Feature’. Simply click on this to paste your copied POI to this organization:

  • After confirming, a POI with the same name is created. If a POI with this name already exists, then you will end up with two, so be careful!

  • If you want to copy a Place POI as a tour stop, open the tour and scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Paste’:

  • A new tour stop is created at the end of the tour.

Some details to keep in mind:

  • The copied POI or tour stop is completely independent of the original. Edits you make to the old one are not reflected in the copy, and vice versa.

  • All of the POI's media is copied as well, and may be edited or deleted independently.
