Setting parameters for your rewards

  • reward can be anything you want, which is redeemed at a POI location, or by mail.

  • A typical reward could be a discount at a local restaurant:

  • A reward can be redeemed only when a user has collected the number of points required for that reward.

  • You can indicate how often a user can redeem this reward:

    • Only once per user, ever.

    • After a set number of days from the last reward redemption. For example, one day means that a user can redeem this reward every day. 7 days means weekly.

  • You can set an optional "valid for" duration. This is the number of days, from the redemption date, that the user has to go to the business location and redeem this reward.

  • The reward code (See image below) is a unique code for every reward redemption. A business may record this, to prevent fraud or duplication.

  • The user id is also unique for each mobile app user, and cannot be artificially constructed outside of the mobile app (i.e. a user cannot create their own user ids and generate points external from the Driftscape apps.)

  • When the user is at the business location, then press the ‘Get this reward now’ button, and show the cashier the reward redemption screen:

  • If the user does not have enough points to redeem the reward, they will not be able to do so:

  • Users can email their reward to themselves, to redeem on location at a later time. There is a button and field at the bottom of the final redemption screen for them to do so:

  • Optionally, you can choose to have a reward mailed to recipients, rather than redeemed and collected at a physical location. In this case, you are responsible for processing the reward redemption and mailing it to the user (we send you an administrative email in this case). For mail-out rewards, the user is prompted to add their name, home address, and phone number:

  • You can have a user contact email address associated with your organization, which is displayed to the user on reward redemptions and emailed receipts.

  • You can have an administrator email address associated with your organization, which every reward redemption is emailed to. This is useful for mailed rewards, where you might want to ensure someone in your team processes the mailed rewards quickly.

  • If the user provided a phone number, this gives you a way to reach them directly in case there is an issue with their address.
