Points and Rewards Overview

This powerful new Driftscape feature allows you to add points and rewards to your POIs to incentivize exploration - visitors can then collect these points, within the app, and redeem them for rewards at a location of your choice! All the points and rewards are under your control, providing a secure and powerful points system, while creating an interactive and fun experience for your residents and visitors.

How the program works

• Points are unique to each organization within the app: This means that only points offered by your organization can be redeemed for your rewards. 

  • Example: A Driftscape user comes across one of your POIs: Fred’s Barber Shop - a local business in your region. Within the POI is the option for the user to collect points:

• When the user taps the ‘Collect Points’ button, they instantly earn these points. It is possible but not necessary to require users to be on location in order to collect points. Once they have tapped "Collect Points" they will see a page like the one below where they can explore more ways to earn points, redeem rewards and see their total points count:

• Let’s say they click on “Collect More Points” - This will show them other POIs that you mapped in the app and where they can earn more points:

• Or, if they click “Get Reward” they will see various options on how they can redeem their rewards:

• Users can also review their points by choosing the new ‘My points & rewards’’ app menu item (iOS version 4.48 and higher, 4.66 and higher for Android).

Points and Rewards Basics 

• Points and rewards are associated with POIs in your organization.

• Points collected at one location, can be redeemed for a reward at another location. 

  • Example: You map a museum as a POI in the app and offer collectible points at that location.The points can be redeemed at a local business that has nothing to do with the museum. Or you could also offer a reward at the museum in exchange for points collected there (example a free ticket to the museum) - how you manage your points is completely your choice.

• If you want to have rewards from your region (like a visitor center), then you simply add a new POI for that location and add the reward to that POI (like, a free mug or hat).
