How Users Subscribe to Notifications

Opt-in Push Notifications are notifications that your Organization can send via email, text message and in-app to users who have subscribed to receive these notifications.  Users can choose how they’d like to receive these notifications, and can Subscribe (or Unsubscribe) at any time.

Users can subscribe to receive your Organization’s Push Notifications via two methods:

From within any Point of Interest (POI)

From within the Organization Details / Custom Menu

When a user opens any POI from your organization, they will see Subscribe [or Unsubscribe] buttons near the bottom of the content:

When a user opens your organization details or custom menu, they will see ‘Subscribe/Unsubscribe’ buttons near the bottom of the content:

Users must LOGIN before they can subscribe to notifications. If not already logged in, the user will be prompted to login:

After entering an email address, user will tap Login button and receive a verification code via email.  This ensures that the email address entered is valid:

The user will now see a message confirming that they are subscribed:

They can easily unsubscribe at any time - by tapping the Unsubscribe button which will now appear in place of the Subscribe button:

Managing your Account from the App Menu

Users can login/logout and manage their account from the app menu.  Click on the ‘three bars’ in top left of screen to access the app menu:

This will open up the app menu, with an option for user to login or logout:

Users can optionally add a phone number to their account to receive organization notifications by text message as well. Select Text notifications from the menu:

The user will be prompted to optionally add a phone number after logging in:

The user will then be sent a verification text:

If a user does not want to receive text messages any more, they can simply enter no value for the phone number above.

Logging out will prevent further background and foreground notifications for that mobile device from all organizations, but they will still receive emails and SMS text messages from organizations they are subscribed to:

User Account and Subscription Management in Driftscape for Web

Users can also manage their account in Driftscape for Web from the menu by clicking on the ‘3 bars’ in top left of the screen:

The menu will then open up allowing the user to Login, Logout, or manage their phone number:

Users can subscribe and unsubscribe from POIs and the organization details the same way as they can in the mobile app:

There is a single user account associated with the user email for both the mobile apps and Driftscape for Web. For example, changing their SMS phone number in Driftscape for Web is the same as doing so in the mobile apps.

Note: There are no notifications sent to Driftscape for Web, even if the user is logged in, but users can still use Driftscape for Web to manage their subscriptions and account.

Account Deletion

Users can also choose to remove all of their account information permanently from our system by Deleting their account. This is required by Apple and Google for app software that includes personal accounts.  Click on the ‘three bars’ in top left of screen to access the app menu:

After clicking on Delete account, user will be prompted to confirm:
