What You Can Link To

Getting Started

Deeplinks and QR codes make it easy for visitors to open your content directly inside the Driftscape app. They can be used on posters, websites, brochures, or social media to guide users straight to your organization’s content, a specific point of interest, or a custom menu.

They work whether the user already has the app installed or not, and they function on both mobile devices and computers.

A deeplink is a special web link that opens a specific part of the Driftscape app instead of just the home screen.

A QR code is a scannable version of that link. When someone scans it with their phone, it opens the same content.

These tools help you:

  • Direct users straight to your organization’s content

  • Highlight a specific location, event, or tour

  • Share content easily in print or digital marketing

When your organization launches in Driftscape, the Driftscape team will provide:

  • One main deeplink

  • One main QR code

Use Case 1: Event Signage

Place a QR code on posters or signs at an event. Visitors can scan it to instantly see your event map or schedule inside the app.

Use Case 2: Printed Brochures or Maps

Add a QR code to printed materials so users can open a digital version with more details, photos, and directions.

Share a deeplink online so users can jump straight to your organization’s content without searching inside the app.

This depends on the type of deeplink you’ve created and what content you want the user to see. Here are some examples of how a QR code or Deeplink behaves for users…

Scenario 1: The user already has the app installed

If a user taps a deeplink or scans a QR code and already has the Driftscape app:

  • The app opens automatically.

  • The user is taken directly to the specific Point of Interest (POI) or content you linked to.

There is no searching or extra steps required.

Scenario 2: The user does not have the app installed

If a user taps a deeplink or scans a QR code without the app installed:

  • They are prompted to download the Driftscape app or view the content in the web version.

  • After choosing an option, they are taken directly to the linked POI or content.

This ensures the link works for both new and existing users.

If the deeplink is set up to open in the web app only:

  • The user taps the link or scans the QR code.

  • The content opens instantly in their web browser.

  • No app download is required.

This option is ideal for quick access from printed materials, emails, or websites.

Deeplinks and QR codes are very flexible. They can take users directly to many different types of content, including:

  • A specific Point of Interest (POI)

  • A custom menu or tour

  • A sub-organization

  • A collection of locations or experiences

  • Your organization’s main content view

This allows you to guide users exactly where you want them to go, whether it’s a single location or a full experience.
