Want to give location access to your app and start exploring? Here's a tutorial video on how you can do this [with instructions following]:
When you first download the app, you will receive a notification asking for permission to let you know when you’re near something.
Click “Continue” and you’ll receive another notification asking you if you want to share your location - keep in mind that we respect privacy and your location won’t be shared with anyone else!
Click on “Allow while using app”, and you’re done!
If you’ve already downloaded the app earlier on and want to change your location settings, you can change your access preferences in your device’s settings!
First, ensure Discovery Mode is enabled:
Click the 3 horizontal dashes in the top left hand corner and toggle on the “Discovery Mode” switch.
Exit the app and return to the device’s home screen to open the Settings application.
Next for iPhone users:
Select “Notifications”, then click on Driftscape and ensure all notifications are enabled.
Return to the main Settings screen, select “Privacy”, and click on “Location Services”. Ensure Location Services is enabled.
Return to the main Settings screen again and scroll down to find Driftscape in the list of apps, and ensure Location Access is set to Always.
Next for Android users:
Select Notifications, then click on Driftscape and ensure all notifications are enabled.
Return to the main Settings screen, select “Apps”, then click on Driftscape. Under “Permissions”, ensure Location is enabled.
You are now ready to begin exploring!
