We are excited to make available a new product feature to our customers “Driftscape Coupons”:
Include coupons and promotions in your content in Driftscape that can be securely redeemed by users from the app.
Coupons can have a maximum number of redemptions per user, which is controlled automatically by the app (i.e. redemptions per app installation).
Coupons do not require the user to enter any personal information to be redeemed! The coupons are secure, based on the app installation on a particular mobile device.
Coupons are edited, changed and managed completely by you, the customer. Make new coupons, change the details, everything is in your control.
Coupons can have optional expiry dates, after which they cannot be redeemed.
The coupon system works in Driftscape for both iOS and Android (versions 3.59 and 3.0.59 respectively, and up.) Coupons are not yet supported in Driftscape for Web.
A full private reporting system is available to you directly, to see when coupons have been redeemed.
Driftscape coupons may not be part of your purchased plan… talk to your account representative to confirm before starting to use them.
Overview of how Driftscape coupons work
From the user perspective, you simply add the coupon as content in any POI, or tour stop, where you want to promote it:
When the user clicks the ‘Redeem’ link, they are taken to a special web page that redeems the coupon:
Users just show their phone to business staff on site to redeem their coupon.
The merchant can tap (or ask the customer to tap) the ‘Redeem at merchant location’ button, which provides a final confirmation that the customer was at the location and redeemed the coupon on site (shown below as ‘RedeemedDate’ in the redemption report).
For businesses, they can use our coupon report system to see the redemptions:
